  1. happiness is a warm breeders album Concise and sharp, energetic and smart; Kim Deal manages to make her own music at the same quality as some of the Pixies best work. This has become an obvious influence for many indie artists to come after her with bands ranging from Sleater-Kinney to Hop Along sounding inspired by The Breeders to this day.

  8. The flow of the album sounds so effortlessly tremendous that it's hard not to enjoy even tiny bits of Pod. Even if initially conceived as a simple side project, and even if The Breeders retain many traits of Pixies and Throwing Muses, they're far more than a basic blueprint of Deal and Donelly's main bands, managing to create a unique sound.
