  1. A four-disc box set spanning Eric Clapton's entire career -- running from the Yardbirds to his '80s solo recordings -- Crossroads not only revitalized Clapton's commercial standing, but it established the rock & roll multi-disc box set retrospective as a commercially viable proposition. Bob Dylan's Biograph was successful two years before the release of Crossroads, but Clapton's set was a bona.
  2. Editors’ Notes This release, his first studio album in four years (and first since kicking his heroin problems), announced the arrival of a new Clapton: desperately trying to shed his guitar-god reputation, he emerged as a more polished, more focused mainstream rocker. Sure, there are still a number of blues covers and ample six-string wizardry to be found here ("Motherless Children," "Steady Rollin' Man"), .
  3. Note: date on the CD Jacket is incorrectly listed as "January 28, ". The last two tracks feature Pete Townshend and Keith Moon. This appears to be the same set as "Unsurpassed Eric Clapton Vol 2.".
  4. Mar 18,  · Eric Clapton – Let It Grow A song off of Eric Clapton’s classic  Ocean Boulevard album. Its a song that doesn’t get a lot of airplay but it’s a good song. Background singers Marcy Levy and Yvonne Elliman join Clapton on the chorus as the song builds.
